Latest stable Tokio: 1.54.1, released (release notes). 53 stable releases since 2 Feb 2024.
Tokio
Tokio 1.54.1 shipped on 21 October 2026, two days after 1.54.0. Its only change reverts a timer patch from 1.54.0 that removed the runtime handle from timers.
Two LTS lines are open, 1.51.x until March 2027 and 1.53.x until September 2027. Of the 53 releases since January 2024, 15 went to a minor line older than the newest one, most recently 1.51.6 on 13 October. A good share of Tokio's patch work lands on versions people pinned a year or more ago, which is the point of the LTS policy.
As of 24 October 2026.
