# Rocket release history: 0.5.2 after 29 months

Every Rocket release since 0.1 in December 2016, from crates.io, as one ascent profile, the two 29-month coasts in it, and what happened to the Rocket stories dev-news covered back then.

## Where it stands (2026-10-24)

Rocket 0.5.2 went up on crates.io on 23 October 2026, 29 months after 0.5.1. Most of the changelog is security work: dependency updates that close four RUSTSEC advisories in rustls, time, tokio and h2, and a swap of the atomic crate to fix undefined behaviour when reading a request's matched route.

That gap is as long as the 0.5 release-candidate phase, which ran from rc.1 in June 2021 to 0.5.0 in November 2023. The foundation announced alongside 0.5.0 listed release schedules among its duties. In the 35 months since, Rocket has shipped two releases.

## In the dev-news log

- **Rocket 0.5.2** (2026-10-23). The first Rocket release in 883 days, since 0.5.1 on 23 May 2024. It is a security release: rustls-webpki 0.103.16 for RUSTSEC-2026-0382 (distrusted intermediates, the eMudhra case) and tokio 1.54.1 for the `Interval` race.
